About the Role
Our client is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Local Delivery Driver to join their team in Klerksdorp . You will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of goods to residential and commercial customers throughout the local area. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong understanding of local geography, and the ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules. Key Responsibilities
- Operate a company delivery vehicle safely and efficiently for local deliveries.
- Plan and execute daily delivery routes to ensure all stops are made within designated timeframes.
- Load and unload packages securely, ensuring accuracy against delivery orders.
- Obtain customer signatures and confirm delivery details upon completion of each stop.
- Perform basic vehicle checks, including tire pressure and fluid levels, before and after each shift.
- Report any delivery issues, vehicle problems, or customer concerns to the supervisor promptly.
Requirements
- Valid Code 10 driver's license with a clear driving record.
- Previous experience in a delivery driver role preferred.
- Good knowledge of Klerksdorp and surrounding local areas.
- Ability to lift and carry packages of varying weights (up to 20kg).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
