About The Job: Decofurn Furniture is a leading furniture retailer with 12 stores nationwide and a thriving online presence. We are an agile, digitally focused company that values innovation, creativity, and engagement. We're seeking a Social Media Lead to take ownership of our social media strategy and execution, driving growth, brand awareness, and customer engagement across all platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Decofurn Furniture's social media strategy, producing content and collaborating with freelancers initially, while building and leading a high-performing in-house team over time.
  • Create engaging content while optimizing and scaling social media operations to maximize impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a results-driven social media strategy aligned with business objectives, ensuring brand consistency and audience engagement.
  • Develop, manage, and oversee the creation of engaging content (including reels, videos, graphics, and photography) tailored for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
  • Identify, establish, and manage relationships with influencers to enhance brand visibility and audience engagement.
  • Develop and oversee community engagement strategies to foster meaningful interactions and brand advocacy.
  • Utilize social media analytics tools (such as Hootsuite) to track engagement, optimize content strategy, and report insights to senior leadership.
  • Manage external content creators and, in time, recruit and develop an in-house social media team to enhance content production and execution.
  • Stay ahead of social media trends, competitor strategies, and industry best practices to ensure Decofurn Furniture maintains a competitive edge.
  • Work closely with marketing, e-commerce, and customer service teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated digital engagement strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Retail industry experience is a requirement.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in social media management, with a strong mix of content creation and strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated experience in team management and leadership.
  • Proven ability to scale and drive engagement across multiple platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in social media performance tracking and reporting.
  • Expertise in influencer marketing and brand partnership development.
  • Ability to manage freelancers and build a scalable in-house content team, with effective leadership and mentorship skills.
  • A self-motivated, proactive approach—someone who thrives on taking ownership and driving projects forward.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
