Your mission, roles and responsibilities

The Quality Engineer is responsible for implementing process control programs that will assure production of finished goods that meet or exceed customer-specified requirements. He/she leads continuous improvements by utilizing the appropriate quality tools and provides data analysis. The main missions of the role are to:

  1. Conduct multiple projects simultaneously ranging from feasibility phase to post launch quality assessment and throughout production life.
  2. Facilitate Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) with Engineering in conjunction with advanced quality-planning activities and monitor the status throughout production life.
  3. Develop, implement and maintain Statistical Process Control techniques.
  4. Assure compliance of the documented quality system (IATF 16949) and promote consistency throughout the organization.
  5. Conduct investigations to determine causes of defects, make recommendations for corrective actions.
  6. Maintain customer complaint log and facilitate and participate in multiple 8D's and in the corrective action process; ensure timely feedback on the customer and Faurecia portals.
  7. Instruct and train personnel in techniques and use of audit and testing devices.
  8. Monitor and revise quality documentation as required.
  9. Visit customers and suppliers when necessary; act as a liaison to internal and external customers.
  10. Review all production methods for compliance to quality standards and for improvement of product and quality standards.
  11. Perform all responsibilities with IATF 16949 system requirements.
  12. Maintain customer specific requirements and audits.
  13. Interrupt the manufacturing or delivery of products when quality is not assured.
Your profile and competencies to succeed

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience: The ideal candidate will have/be:

  1. NDIP or BTECH Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree/equivalent.
  2. Four (4) years automotive experience.
  3. Quality Core tools certificates.
  4. Strong analytical and proven team-oriented problem-solving skills.
  5. Strong customer satisfaction orientation.
  6. Excellent computer & communication skills.
