PRBB Trailers - Aftersales and Repairs Manager - Manufacturing and Production (Pretoria East)

Job Summary:

A position has become available for an Aftersales and Repairs Manager with a proven track record to join our team in Pretoria East. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Trailer Manufacturing/Repair Industry.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and oversee the Aftersales and Repairs department and employees of PRBB Trailers.
  2. Report directly to the executive directors of the Company.
  3. Work closely with other managers at the Company (Production, Design Office, Finance etc.).
  4. Manage breakdown, warranty, repair and service requests by Customer.
  5. Maintain a professional image and relationship with customers.
  6. Diagnose problems, prepare estimates for repairs and check if still in warranty.
  7. Liaising with customers in case of warranty/repair.
  8. Prepare quotations and repair orders.
  9. Pre-assessment visits as and when required.
  10. Following up on parts orders and promptly informing customers of any delays.
  11. Arranging service bookings and reminders.
  12. Maintaining accurate customer information.
  13. Monitoring outstanding parts ordered and unpaid invoices.
  14. Managing Workshop by maintaining, cleaning, organizing, trash removal and securing valuables during non-working hours.
  15. Develop, implement and monitor standards and routines, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness within the workplace.
  16. Carry out daily meetings with staff.
  17. Coordinate Spare Parts activity to ensure parts availability to ensure service exchange and warranty parts procedures are adhered to.
  18. Manage the workshop facilities and HSE together with Safety Officer.
  19. Create working time schedules for work shifts based on Repairs Schedules.
  20. Attend to Daily Workshop reporting to Directors, regarding WIP, Efficiency, Productivity, Debtors and Creditors.
  21. Build and maintain the right level of relationships with customer representatives.
  22. Processing of complaints and process major or complicated complaints.
  23. Participate in meetings with Key customers when required.
  24. Market and Communicate services solutions to existing and potential customers.
  25. Enable a team-based approach ensuring open and effective communication within the workshop to achieve common business objectives.
  26. Monitor the workshop's pricing and discounts to ensure that they meet the established level.
  27. Feedback and focus on workshop results – Develop the workshop business by follow up budget, results, operational targets and taking measures in order, to achieve set targets.
  28. Manage and analyse the workshop's running costs and expenditure budget.
  29. Regularly follow up service business and financial results.
  30. Set, monitor, maintain and follow up KPI's as per Company procedures.
  31. Work with and handle applicable licenses for the workshop operations, monitor possible developments.
  32. Analyse current standards to identify and present opportunities for improvement of the workshop.
  33. Proactively initiate improvement activities, ensuring conditions are in place to achieve workshop goals.
  34. Oversee all Internal, Warrant, and on-site workshop and Staff.

Communicate effectively with employees, management, and external parties.

  5. Sound trailer technical and product knowledge.
  6. In-depth knowledge of sound customer satisfaction processes.
  7. Cost analysis.
  8. Preparation of Quotations.
  9. Understanding of Basic Business operations and principles.
