Provides input into departmental objectives and controls the delivery of a professional Architectural service through the management of the process of analyzing, investigating, assessing, and conceptualizing major complex physical built interventions.

  1. Co-ordinates processes associated with the preparation and management of contract documents/terms and conditions.
  2. Applies professional architectural principles to research, co-ordinate, organize, and prepare designs for built interventions with complex variables.
  3. Co-ordinates and controls specific processes associated with the scoping, implementation, monitoring, and communication phase of Architectural projects.
  4. Interacts internally and externally disseminating technical information on current projects supporting the accomplishment of establishment outcomes.
  5. Guides and mentors technical personnel and attends to specific requirements in respect of submissions and applications.

  1. Prepares business plans to determine and present the sustainability of complex architectural projects.
  2. Manages processes associated with the scoping, resourcing, implementation, monitoring, and communication phase of complex Architectural projects.
  3. Applies professional knowledge of Architectural design policies, applications, and principles to analyze, comment, and co-ordinate design and detail requirements associated with major complex physical interventions in the environment.
  4. Manages processes associated with the preparation of contracts and resolves conflicts and/or defends actions.
  5. Interacts internally and externally disseminating technical and professional information with recommendations, solutions, and alternatives on current Architectural projects and completed work.
  6. Guides and mentors professional/technical personnel and attends to specific requirements in respect of submissions and applications.

  3. Valid motor vehicle driving license.
  4. Computer Literacy.
  5. Knowledge of specialized software packages.

PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECT 36000146E

  1. Master of Architecture (NQF Level 9) or equivalent.
  2. Registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) as a Professional Architect.
  3. Valid motor vehicle driving license.
  4. 2 years relevant experience which may have been obtained as part of registration.
  5. Computer Literacy.
  6. Knowledge of specialized software packages.

SENIOR PROFESSIONAL ARCHITECT 36000146F

  1. Master of Architecture (NQF Level 9) or equivalent.
  2. Registered with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) as a Professional Architect.
  3. Valid motor vehicle driving license.
  4. 5 years post registration experience as a Professional Architect.
  5. Computer Literacy.
  6. Knowledge of specialized software packages.
