Our Sales teams help to deliver Reckitt's purpose by building shared success with our customers, making access to the highest quality hygiene, wellness, and nourishment possible in-stores and online. Within Sales, we're focused on achieving outperformance across all of our channels, operating in highly competitive categories. This focus results in a dynamic, fast paced environment where cross functional teams are encouraged to collaborate to achieve success. We have around 10,000 sales people across the world, within market roles and ranging in areas like Field Sales, Key Accounts, Trade Marketing and Category Development.

About the role

The Junior Key Account Manager's overall objective is to develop and implement the sales strategy per customer in alignment with Reckitt Benckiser's strategic objectives (NR, COP, Gross Margin, NWC), and to manage the customer relationship on an ongoing basis. The role has accountability for the full scope of Reckitt Benckiser's commercial interaction with the customer, ranging from the development of sales strategy per customer to the management of promotional activities. The role requires close cross functional interaction with trade marketing, planning, marketing, logistics, finance, and IS. Ready to have a tangible impact on our global marketplace? Your responsibilities
  1. Responsible for achieving strategic objectives per customer – i.e. NR, COP, Gross Margin, NWC
  2. Produce analyses that drive actionable insight, directly influencing sales strategies and brand growth.
  3. Develop reporting processes that track and measure business performance, setting the stage for informed decisions.
  4. Building long term partnership with the customer.
  5. Responsible for the promotional strategy per customer, and promotional execution (including trade budget management, range and space optimisation).
  6. Responsible for managing customer negotiations in relation to Reckitt Benckiser commercial strategy and the customer trading terms.
  7. Implementation and ongoing management of the category strategy per customer.
  8. Responsible for developing customer new product launch plans and ensuring successful implementation.
  9. Continuous improvement in the management of the account by identifying opportunities for efficiency and profitability and overall improvement in the management of categories.
  10. Growth of net revenue and management of gross margin by customer.
  11. Monitor market shifts and competitor movement to discover opportunities for innovation and expansion.
  12. Streamline end-to-end processes to pinpoint opportunities that the sales & trade marketing teams can act on.
  13. Collaborate with various stakeholders to maintain and enhance reporting mechanisms at local and global levels.
The experience we're looking for
  1. Minimum 3 years FMCG experience IN Sales/ Marketing and Key Account Management.
  2. Educated to minimum bachelor's degree level ideally in a business related subject - from a recognised University.
  3. You're proactive and thrive on making a significant impact in a fast-paced setting.
  4. Results oriented, entrepreneurial and self-motivating.
  5. Leadership and interpersonal skills capable of building strong working relationships and influencing customers and internal teams.
  6. Strong commercial understanding of business issues/opportunities.
  7. Strong understanding of sales and marketing strategy and planning issues.
  8. Strong analytical skills with ability to develop strategies, tactics and measurable outcomes.
  9. Demonstrated ability in both financial and commercial analysis.
  10. Exceptional at interpreting data, market trends, and translating them into actionable sales directives.
  11. Confident in your communication skills, able to convey complex information succinctly.
  12. Collaborative in nature, with a track record of working effectively within diverse teams.
  13. Highly skilled in account management, with a savvy for ecommerce and field sales.
  14. Achieved a balance between strategic planning and impeccable execution.
