About the Role
Our client is seeking an organized and efficient Warehouse Operations Coordinator to support their logistics activities in Paarl. This role is vital for ensuring the smooth and orderly execution of warehouse tasks, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods. You will work closely with the warehouse team, management, and external partners to streamline operations, maintain accurate records, and ensure high levels of productivity and safety. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and possesses a foundational understanding of warehouse procedures. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a key support role within the logistics sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, and dispatching processes.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely processing of orders and shipments.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counting activities.
- Ensure that all warehouse activities are conducted in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Monitor warehouse performance metrics and assist in generating reports.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve operational queries.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics support role is essential.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
