SAICA Trainee

Our client, a reputable medium size accounting and auditing firm based in Somerset West, is looking for a motivated SAICA Trainee and/or Junior Audit Accountants to join their growing Audit Department. This role will be ideal for candidates who are currently in process of or have completed their SAICA-accredited qualifications and are eager to gain valuable experience in a professional & audit accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in auditing, financial reporting, and accounting functions in line with SAICA standards.
• Conduct reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Support senior accountants in financial advisory and consulting services.
• Keep up to date with IFRS, tax legislation, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with clients to provide financial insights and solutions.

Requirements:

• Education: BCom Accounting or equivalent degree accredited by SAICA.
• Enrolled or planning to enrol in a SAICA training contract.
• 1-5 years of experience in an accounting firm (preferred for mid-level applicants).
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing, and taxation.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., CaseWare, Pastel, Xero).
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: R15000 – R30000 per month, dependent on skills and experience.
