Location: Mthatha, Eastern Cape, ZA

This is a regional sales management role responsible for managing a team of new and vested Financial Advisors.

You will be responsible for recruiting advisors for your portfolio (new and experienced), as well as their training, vesting, and development.

Output / Core Tasks:

  1. Create and drive sales plans, targets and growth
  2. Provide marketing and business building support
  3. Coach and develop Financial Advisors
  4. Manage business retention processes
  5. Ensure compliance and risk management
  6. Enable practice management
  7. Oversee quality and productivity management
  8. Provide effective People and Performance Management
  9. Manage budgets and expenses of the team
  10. Recruit new and experienced financial intermediaries

What will make you successful in this role?

Qualification & experience:

  • Extensive Financial Services experience in a marketing/sales environment
  • Sales and Operational Management/leadership of a team/unit
  • Management Diploma
  • Commercial/Financial or business related diploma/degree
  • CFP/RFP3 or equivalent

Knowledge and skills:

  • Financial Services Industry Knowledge
  • Financial Services Product Knowledge (Sanlam and competitors)
  • Legal technical Knowledge (product related)
  • Relevant regulatory legislation and compliance knowledge (FAIS accredited)
  • Business planning
  • New and Existing business processes
  • Advisor contracts and remuneration
  • Sales and marketing processes and practices
  • Leads management and campaigns/competitions
  • Management skills to manage staff
  • Budgets and expense management
