Description
Our client in the Logistics Industry, based in Camperdown (KZN), is currently looking to employ an Inventory Clerk.

Requirements:

  1. Proven work experience as an Inventory Clerk or similar role with a minimum of two years' experience.
  2. Matric qualification essential; further education advantageous.
  3. Excellent math and analytical skills.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - must be able to work well with security officers.
  5. Ability to work extended hours.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  1. Maintaining and updating records according to Manufacturers requirements.
  2. Counting products or supplies in stock.
  3. Reporting discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.
  4. Distributing or placing products at the relevant activity within the storage facility.
  5. Receive and inventory stock.
  6. Perform inventory adjustments and update the same in database.
  7. Analyze and troubleshoot inventory control problems in a timely fashion.
  8. Process shipping and landing orders timely and follow-up on pending orders.
  9. Prioritize and perform daily workload assigned by Supervisor.
  10. Prepare and submit inventory control reports to Supervisor.
  11. Respond to enquiries regarding products and inventories.
  12. Perform inventory control to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  13. Provide direction and assistance to colleagues as needed.
  14. Maintain inventory reports according to standard documentation and archiving procedures.
  15. Perform clerical tasks including answering calls, taking messages, operating printers, and typing letters.
  16. Ensure that products received are in accordance with quality specifications from customer.
  17. Oversee product repairs and fitments by third parties.
  18. Utilize word processing applications and spreadsheets for inventory control documentation.
  19. Other various tasks as assigned.
