This position has the primary responsibility to support the agronomy team within Omnia Fertilizer through development of agronomic solutions based on high level statistical analysis, data mining, database management, project management, as well as marketing Omnia's range of products and solutions.

Qualifications

M.Sc. in Agricultural sciences (or similar)

Masters level in data science (or similar)

Experience

  • 3-5 years appropriate technical experience
  • Track record of managing projects and achieving goals
  • Experience in working with large datasets and finding solutions.
  • Marketing experience
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Working with geospatial datasets
  • Programming skills will be an added advantage.

Duties

  • Assist in strategic planning, development and packaging of defined products and concepts into agronomic solutions
  • Statistical interpretation of large datasets
  • Data mining and data engineering
  • Guide researchers in development of trial protocols, implementation of trials and reporting of results
  • Develop and maintain the agronomic trial database
  • Working with the agronomic field team
  • Sound knowledge of agronomic solutions
  • Excellent language skills (verbal and written)
