Sales Account Manager

Our client in the Telecoms Industry is seeking motivated and results-driven Sales Account Managers to join their dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating direct sales through door-to-door strategies in the ICT and office automation sectors.
You will be selling a range of products, including hardware, cloud solutions, and service level agreements, while developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct door-to-door sales to identify and engage potential customers.
- Present and demonstrate products and services effectively.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular follow-ups.
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals and negotiate contracts.
- Stay updated on industry trends, products, and competitor activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and service delivery.
- Report on sales performance and market feedback to management.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in ICT, office automation, or telecommunications.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, cloud services, and service level agreements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
- Previous sales experience in IT sales (experience in product range is an advantage).
- This is not a Telesales position – must be able to go out and meet customers face to face.
- Must have good customer service and be presentable.
- Must understand financing processes.
- Must be computer literate (Excel/Word/Outlook/cloud-based CRM).
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Determined, accountable, innovative, self-disciplined, persuasive.
- Ability to work under pressure and stay calm and positive in a fast-paced environment.
- Good etiquette and customer service.
- Own reliable vehicle.
Package and Remuneration:
- Competitive salary.
- Basic: R12 500 – R20 000, Cell phone, Petrol Card R3 500 – R5 000 and Life and funeral Policy and commission structure (25% on GP).
