About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and decisive Air Traffic Controller to manage and direct aircraft movements safely and efficiently within their airspace jurisdiction near Richards Bay. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the flow of air traffic, preventing collisions, and providing essential information to pilots. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage air traffic within assigned airspace sectors using radar, communication, and navigation systems.

  • Coordinate with other air traffic control units, meteorological services, and emergency services as needed.
  • Maintain constant vigilance and situational awareness to anticipate and respond to potential conflicts or emergencies.
  • Adhere strictly to established air traffic control procedures, regulations, and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Valid Air Traffic Controller license and relevant medical certificate.
  • Proven experience in controlling air traffic at a comparable facility.
  • Thorough understanding of aviation regulations, meteorology, and navigation principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm, focused, and decisive under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
