About the Role
Our client is seeking a caring and resourceful Childminder and Educational Assistant to provide high-quality care and early learning support in Rustenburg . This role involves nurturing young children in a home-based or small group setting, ensuring their safety, well-being, and developmental progress. You will be instrumental in creating a warm, stimulating environment where children can thrive, engaging them in play-based learning activities designed to foster curiosity and essential skills. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with families to support each child's individual journey, contributing to a nurturing atmosphere that prioritizes a child's holistic development and school readiness, within the vibrant community of Rustenburg .
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision and care for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities, including arts, crafts, and outdoor play.
- Assist in the development and implementation of daily routines, including meals, naps, and hygiene practices.
- Observe children's behavior and development, communicating significant observations to parents/guardians.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly environment.
- Foster positive social-emotional development and encourage independence in children.
Requirements
- Experience in childcare or as a childminder is essential.
- Understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate activities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with children and parents.
- Patience, reliability, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Ability to create a safe and stimulating learning environment.
- A valid First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one.
