Job Overview
UD Trucks is known for our pioneering technologies and products within the commercial automotive industry. This position will be responsible for ensuring the availability of materials per the production plan and supporting the production process to fulfill KPI targets.

This position is earmarked for Unemployed Youth on a 12 month contract basis. The person applying must comply with the criteria and be registered on the Yes4Youth platform.

Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Responsible for keeping the environment safe and adhering to all Safety Policies
  2. Follow-up with suppliers for on-time delivery of truck materials, including packing platforms
  3. Monitor the performance of suppliers, including packing platforms, in terms of delivery
  4. Call off materials based on MRP calculations
  5. Ensure the management and good visualization of the local warehouse
  6. Maintain and monitor reports as per requirements
  7. Coordinate and support the warehouse to set up Safety stocks and re-order levels
  8. Support the MC with attending supplier visits
  9. Create POs on SAP Ariba
  10. Suggest and implement improvements to the current process
  11. Support in Inventory Analysis & stock take activities

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Diploma or Degree in Engineering
Supply Chain Management (Advantage)
0-2 years Relevant experience as a material controller

Job Skills and Knowledge

  1. Knowledge of Material control processes
  2. Knowledge of Inventory Control
  3. Knowledge of MRP / ERP processes
  4. Hands-on experience working in ERP (SAP, Oracle material Masters)
  5. Knowledge of Supply Chain & Material management
  6. IT Knowledge: use of MS Office (Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint). Operational knowledge on SAP, SysPro
