As an Accountant in TMF Group, you will be responsible to provide efficient and high-quality service to a portfolio of assigned clients. You will work in accordance with local Accounting and Tax legislation and in line with internal clients' regulations, as well as in compliance with all internal procedures and standards.

Through work for various clients from different industries, you will have the opportunity to enrich your knowledge of financial complexities. You will get industry best practice here and be up to date with the latest accounting standards and local legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Undertaking the bookkeeping for a portfolio of investment fund structures in Investran and conducting full, detailed reviews of own work prior to submission for review by a senior client accountant.
  2. Preparation and reconciliation of monthly bank accounts.
  3. Maintaining pro-active communication to ensure that the Fund Accounting Manager is kept appraised of the status of all deliverables.
  4. Working closely with counterparts on other teams to ensure seamless and coordinated service delivery.
  5. Maintaining files in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
  6. Proactively look to develop own skills within the wider business and assisting other teams.
  7. In addition to the duties listed above, the Fund Accountant may be requested to perform any other ad hoc duties or projects as requested by the Fund Accounting Manager.
  8. Preparation of quarterly management accounts & annual financial statements (including assisting with the audit process).
  9. Demonstrating competence with all fund accounting work and progressing with more complex cases and an increased volume of work as knowledge of the entities and accounting standards (and professional studies) increases.

Key Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  2. 3 years' experience in the financial services industry.
  3. Have commenced or intends to commence study towards the completion of a professional accountancy qualification.
  4. Good knowledge of IFRS and ideally other GAAPs.
  5. Knowledge of Investran.
  6. Familiarity with tax-efficient European fund structures and related investment vehicles and regulatory requirements – this would be considered an advantage.
  7. Other characteristics: promptly and efficiently completes work assignments, manages personal workload effectively, responds to and anticipates client needs in a timely & professional manner, listens actively, considers people's concerns & ability to adjust approach accordingly, consistently strives to provide a quality service, takes responsibility for obtaining & sharing required information with others, acts with the highest level of integrity at all times and acts in a professional manner.
