About the Role
Our client, an innovative digital solutions agency located in the coastal city of East London, Eastern Cape , is seeking a highly skilled Senior Front-End Developer with expertise in React and/or Angular. This role is perfect for a developer who is passionate about creating exceptional user experiences and building modern, responsive web applications. You will work closely with UI/UX designers and back-end developers to translate design concepts into high-quality, functional code. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of front-end technologies, performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility. Key Responsibilities
- Develop user-facing features using modern front-end frameworks like React or Angular.
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and responsiveness across various devices and browsers.
- Collaborate with back-end developers and UI/UX designers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Troubleshoot and debug front-end issues.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging front-end technologies and best practices.
- Contribute to technical discussions and architectural decisions for front-end development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in front-end web development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Expertise in at least one modern front-end framework (React or Angular).
- Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux for React, NgRx for Angular).
- Familiarity with front-end build tools and package managers (e.g., Webpack, npm, Yarn).
- Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
- Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
- Experience with responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
