I have a PhD in Statistics, strong research expertise, and proficiency in software like Python and R. I also have more than a decade of experience in teaching and research. My area of research interest is small area estimation, machine learning, and spatial and spatiotemporal areas under health data. In my role as a lecturer and an assistant professor at the department Statistics, Debre Tabor University, Ethiopia, I prepared the course material, developed course curriculum, gave excellent lectures, and provided software training. I engage in research activities in addition to teaching, like presenting my research papers at national and international conferences in South Africa, which has been an honour for me. I have more than 13 published articles in reputable journals with most of them I am first author. On these occasions, my capacity to carry out significant research and make contributions to the international statistical community has been well valued. Additionally, while I was the head of the statistics department at Debre Tabor University, I developed strong administrative and managerial skills and gained a great deal of leadership experience. I have managed a variety of departmental affairs, including budget planning, faculty recruitment, and curriculum development. I have improved my communication and interpersonal skills by working in these roles, which has helped me work well with stakeholders, students, and colleagues.
