About the Role
Our client is searching for an enthusiastic Program Officer focused on Youth Development to join their team in Mossel Bay . This role is dedicated to designing, implementing, and overseeing programs that empower young people in the Western Cape , fostering their personal growth, educational attainment, and future opportunities. You will engage directly with youth, community stakeholders, and partner organizations to ensure programs are impactful, relevant, and meet the evolving needs of the young population in Mossel Bay . Key Responsibilities
- Design and manage youth development programs, including workshops, mentoring, and skill-building activities.
- Engage with youth participants, providing guidance and support to foster their development.
- Collaborate with schools, community centers, and other youth-serving organizations.
- Monitor program progress, collect data, and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Develop program materials and resources tailored to youth needs.
- Ensure programs are delivered in a safe, inclusive, and engaging manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Youth Development, Social Sciences, Education, or a related field.
- Experience in program design, implementation, and management, preferably with youth.
- Strong understanding of youth development principles and challenges in Mossel Bay .
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of young people and adults.
- Proficiency in data collection and reporting for program evaluation.
