The Senior Bid Coordinator will be responsible for end-to-end management of all bids as well as bid identification, pipeline and key account management. The Senior Bid Coordinator will lead from the front, often getting involved in the deliverables and ensuring high levels of accuracy and quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building and upkeep of up-to-date corporate qualifications, project data sheets, and project experience documents
- Monitor, identify and execute on consulting opportunities from bid platforms as well as government/private sector platforms
- Assist with the set-up of projects on the digital/manual bid platforms
- Maintain and update bid tracker
- Perform daily status updates and leading kick-off meetings for all new bids
- Having progress meetings and review sessions of all bids
- Lead and/or assist in preparation of proposals/bids/tenders along with the bid support team in collaboration with the engineering staff
- Interface with clients and consultants where necessary
- Develop marketing materials
- Work independently on complex tasks but able to function easily within a team where required
- Mentor and upskill junior staff
- Other tasks as assigned
The ideal candidate should have:
- National Diploma or Degree in business, arts, languages (or similar)
- Post Graduate qualification will be an advantage.
- At least 8 years' experience within a bid office/team, producing content/deliverables for bids and packing of bids.
- Experience in the built environment will be an advantage
- Very strong attention to detail and accurate work products
- Be proficient in MS Office, specifically MS Word and MS Excel
- Will confidently build and maintain external and internal business relationships
- Ability to produce clear and logical written communication
- Strong organizational, time and planning skills
- Must be able to manage several tasks simultaneously, and prioritize as necessary
- Self-starter, who can work effectively under tight deadlines
- Be able to demonstrate innovation, actively seeking opportunities and solutions
