About the Role
Our client is looking for a seasoned and responsible Goods Transport Driver to join their expanding operations based in Tembisa, Gauteng . This role involves the transportation of various types of goods to designated locations, ensuring compliance with all delivery schedules and safety protocols. The successful candidate will be a critical part of the supply chain, ensuring that products reach their destinations efficiently. We seek an individual who is meticulous, safety-conscious, and dedicated to upholding our client's high standards of operational excellence and reliability in all transport activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently for the transport of goods.
- Plan and execute daily routes to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and operational readiness.
- Manage delivery documentation, including invoices and proof of delivery records.
- Adhere strictly to transportation regulations and company safety policies.
Requirements
- Valid Code 10 (C1) driving license with a valid PrDP.
- A minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience in commercial goods transportation.
- Familiarity with the Gauteng region's logistics and transportation routes.
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation systems and fleet management software.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, punctuality, and professional conduct.
