Minimum 10 years relevant operational experience of which 5 years management experience must be in a mining environment.

This role requires a significant amount of local and international travel within the region.

Required to work underground as required.

Possible secondment to Africa & India as an Expat, should you choose.

Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the safety, quality and financial performance of drilling operations.
  2. Lead the Account Management Team to execute drilling contracts.
  3. Develop a project readiness plan & ensure that it's delivered in accordance with schedule, budget and scope requirements.
  4. Source and provide operational information for effective and accurate estimation of new project proposals.
  5. Source contract initiation resources including human resources, inventory, plant & machinery, sub-contractors and capital.
  6. Conduct distribution planning and scheduling of contract initiation resources.
  7. Ensure compliance with government regulatory, tax and legislative requirements before and during distribution of resources.
  8. Ensure compliance with Client contract initiation requirements for effective on-boarding of resources.
  9. Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions and identify and control contract initiation baseline risks.
  10. Review and approve monthly budgets and expenditure (for projects and tenders).
  11. Monitor project productivity and identify corrective action interventions when required.
  12. Monitor and integrate cost saving initiatives into budgets and control expenditure within approved parameters.
  13. Analyse information, challenges and trends to establish and implement fact-based solutions.
  14. Ensure compliance with company and client policies and procedures.
  15. Ensure compliance to safety and quality standards during project execution.
  16. Provide technical advice to Project teams & manage the teams.
  17. Ensure the effective resourcing of contracts (special tools, critical inventory, plant and machinery and skilled staff).
  18. Manage relationships with Clients, mines and sub-contractors.
  19. Create effective relations with Group Shared Services, as well as with Supply Chain, HR, IT, Finance, SHEQ and Commercial teams, and adhere to SLAs.
  20. Engage with commercial teams and provide input relating to claims and scope changes.
  21. Identify and action potential new business- and cross selling opportunities with existing clients.
  22. Select, develop and motivate the Production team.
  23. Identify training and development needs.
  24. Manage team performance.
