About the Role
Our client is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Catering Assistants to support their events in Kimberley . This is a crucial role for ensuring the smooth running of catering services during various functions. You will be involved in setting up, serving food and beverages, and assisting with clean-up operations. If you are a team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn, this part-time position offers a great opportunity to gain experience in the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup of catering equipment, tables, and decorations for events.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Replenish food and drink stations as required during events.
- Clear tables and maintain cleanliness in serving and dining areas.
- Assist with the breakdown and cleaning of event spaces post-service.
- Follow instructions from the Catering Supervisor and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills and a polite, helpful demeanor.
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions accurately.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderately heavy items.
- A passion for providing excellent customer service.
