We are on the lookout for a Service Transition Manager to ensure smooth service transitions from project delivery to operational support.

As a Service Transition Manager, you will be the driving force behind the successful implementation of services into our managed operations. You will work closely with project delivery, operations, and support teams to ensure a structured and efficient transition process. This role is critical in maintaining service quality, minimizing risks, and ensuring our customers receive world-class support.

What you'll do:

  1. Service Transition Planning: Develop and manage comprehensive service transition plans to ensure all aspects of the transition are effectively covered.
  2. Stakeholder Management: Engage with key stakeholders to understand requirements and align transition activities to meet their expectations.
  3. Coordination and Communication: Act as the primary contact for all service transition activities, ensuring clear communication between teams.
  4. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues during service transitions and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
  5. Documentation: Ensure all necessary documentation (operational procedures, support guides, etc.) is complete and handed over to the operations team.
  6. Training & Knowledge Transfer: Facilitate training sessions and knowledge-sharing activities to equip the operations team for success.
  7. Post-Transition Support: Provide hands-on support during the post-transition phase to ensure a seamless handover.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the service transition process and implement industry best practices.
  9. Operationalising Products: Ensure new products are fully ready for operational use through cross-functional collaboration.
  10. Service Management: Ensure services meet agreed-upon performance and compliance standards.
  11. Onboarding & Offboarding Customers: Manage the seamless onboarding of new customers and the offboarding of existing ones, working closely with various teams.
  12. Maintain Document Libraries: Keep documentation organized, up-to-date, and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

What you'll need:

  1. Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 5 years in service transition or a similar role within an MSP environment.
  3. Strong project management capabilities.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  6. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  7. Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
  8. Experience with service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
