We need your skills, experience, and leadership to make our Pure Play Mining Core26 Strategy a reality. You will be leading the EMEA Order Handling & Execution Team that forms part of the EMEA Region's organisation.

Role PurposeThe Head of Order Handling & Execution is focused on the proposal-to-order and order-to-delivery process for our mining customers across EMEA. This role leads order handling teams across the region as well as overseeing our shared service team in India while partnering with sales and operations to increase sales, achieve delivery targets, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. As the Head of the function, your role will be a key driver in growing our service business by leading your team to ensure delivery on sales and customer support as well as order fulfillment to increase customer satisfaction and build long-term profitable relationships.
Responsibilities- Function as a key member of the regional mining management team, making strategic decisions and taking innovative action to achieve short-term and long-term goals.
- Improve customer service quality results by studying, evaluating, and redesigning processes.
- Lead processes supporting that proposal and order handling is fulfilling our customers' expectations (Response time / Quality / DIFOT) and increases customer engagement.
- Achieve region financial targets by maintaining/growing as-sold margins, contributing to accounts receivable initiatives, and seeking cost efficiencies.
- Lead implementation and rollout of new ERP systems.
- Ensure Customer Relations teams are delivering an exceptional customer experience with on-time delivery; monitor client net promoter score and take appropriate response actions.
- Develop strategy for efficient follow-up on low and medium value proposals.
- Ensure close collaboration with Finance to monitor project cost variances and drive team to reduce variances.
- Manage project portfolio of smaller projects in the sales teams, including overall risk control.
- Spearhead supply chain optimization by guiding team buyers focusing on supplier development.
- Ensure adherence to FLSmidth's policies e.g. Safety, Compliance, and Rules of Engagement.
- Promote a culture of personal and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company's operational activities.
- Develop and execute a people strategy centred around engagement, efficiency, development, and retention.
- Collaborate with procurement to manage the strategic and operating levels of inventory.
- Lead with an innovative mindset to tackle execution issues and build efficient processes; consistently demonstrate FLSmidth's TEACH values.
- Drive cash collection at our customers to minimize overdue payments.
- Proactively drive frame agreements on standardized spare parts with our key customers.
- Maintain comprehensive understanding of industry trends, internal strategy, and performance levels.
- A relevant business bachelor's or engineering degree level qualification.
- 10+ Years of experience in the mining equipment or equivalent OEM industry.
- A combination of engineering and business education.
- Proven ability to drive cost, process, and inventory efficiencies.
- Significant leadership experience with success in developing people.
- Integral knowledge of ERP Systems.
- Strong financial and business acumen.
- Existing strong network of key stakeholders within the mineral processing industry.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to grow and develop team members and potential leaders.
- Ability to build a cohesive and engaged OE team focused on meeting customer needs.
