We're looking for someone who can proactively support the Used Trucks business to reach the strategic and financial objectives.

In addition, you will keep track of and coordinate the selling expenses control, in close communication with all the business owners of Volvo Trucks South Africa. The main purpose of the job is to work in strong partnership together with the Used Trucks Manager and the Used Trucks operational team.

Your responsibilities include:

  1. Managing closing and estimate processes for Used Trucks business in close cooperation with the Business Controller New Trucks, securing the entire lifecycle flow of the truck.
  2. Acting as Selling and Expense coordinator for the entire Volvo Trucks South Africa business, working closely with several business areas and support functions.
  3. Providing detailed controlling reports and acting as a business partner and co-driver to the business.
  4. Reporting to the CFO of Volvo Trucks South Africa.
Job Objectives
  1. Drive Used Trucks Business Control and manage the residual value portfolio.
  2. Serve as an important contributor to the Used Trucks Performance Forum and Residual value committee.
  3. Coordinate and monthly calculate the Used Trucks Sales Reps Commission outcome.
  4. Secure the Selling Expenses Forecast, Follow up and communication with the stakeholders.
  5. Propose and drive improvements of all controlling related revenue and expense reporting, ensuring proactive control, accuracy, predictability, and timely delivery of results, analysis, and forecasts.
  6. Ensure accurate local and corporate reporting in close cooperation with Financial Control and Accounting (FCA) as well as the Business Control team in Volvo Trucks International.
  7. Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and standards including the Used Trucks Operational Manual, Financial Policies and Procedures (FPP), etc.
  8. Provide support during external and internal audits.
  9. Be a business partner and contribute to continuous improvement.
  10. Prepare risk assessments and work proactively with our Internal audit manager to ensure Volvo Group compliance.
  11. Provide financial guidance to stakeholders.
  12. Liase with other Finance colleagues for decision making, analysis, reporting, and consolidation.
  13. Actively maintain the trade-ins schedule and flow of trades to ensure accurate postings.

Qualification & Job Experience
  1. Min Bachelor (or higher degree) in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or similar is required.
  2. Minimum 5 years of accounting/business control experience.
  3. Proven experience in a finance role in a similar sized organization would be preferable.
  4. Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft office (advanced Excel), Oracle Essbase, Hyperion Planning, and Power BI.

  8. Interpret data, draw conclusions, and provide guidance by balancing strong commercial acumen with a risk and control mind-set.
