About the Role
Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Apprentice Hairdresser/Stylist to join their vibrant salon in Soweto . This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about hairstyling and eager to learn the trade from experienced professionals. You will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of hairdressing, from washing and blow-drying to assisting with cuts and color treatments. This role requires a dedication to client service, a creative flair, and a willingness to learn and grow within the beauty industry. You will be an integral part of a salon team that values skill, artistry, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior stylists with client consultations and hair treatments.
- Perform shampooing, conditioning, and blow-drying services.
- Learn and practice basic cutting, coloring, and styling techniques under supervision.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the salon workstations and tools.
- Sterilize tools and equipment according to health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client comfort and satisfaction.
Requirements
- Completed Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- A strong passion for hairdressing and the beauty industry.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques.
- A positive attitude and professional demeanor in the Soweto salon.
