Chemical Manufacturing company based on the East Rand has a vacancy for a Digital Marketing & Content Controller position. The main purpose of this role is to optimize the online marketing campaigns in order to ensure customer engagement.

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for planning, maintaining, execution and optimization of online marketing efforts for the company brand.
  2. Creating, editing and posting online content using a variety of electronic devices and tools for use across multimedia and multi platforms.
  3. Internal Liaison with all internal departments and external liaison with third party suppliers.
  4. Build online brand awareness in order to drive sales.
  5. Create and optimize online adverts through Google AdWords (search, display, mobile, video), Facebook and other platforms to increase brand awareness and drive sales.
  6. Be actively involved in Search Engine Optimization efforts (content, keyword, image optimization, etc.).
  7. Create and add UTM tags or similar onto material and all online advertising platforms.
  8. Generate innovative ideas to reinforce marketing campaigns across digital channels.
  9. Translate media plan into a digital campaign by ensuring correct dates, targeting, budgets, objectives, and placements are applied.
  10. Manage the content strategy, including copywriting and website updates.
  11. Write engaging and shareable content across different platforms, including social media, websites, and emails.
  12. Create unique, relevant and engaging content for all digital platforms.
  13. Ensure content is well-researched, accurate, balanced, and well-written.
  14. Prepare online newsletters and promotional emails and organize their distribution.
  15. Plan and monitor the ongoing presence on social media and website in order to grow the market base.
  16. Stay abreast of online marketing trends and keep strategies up to date.
  17. Identify improvements to enhance customer experience with online platforms and optimize on an ongoing basis.
  18. Brief technical updates to the development team, review and test deliverables.
  19. Collaborate with designers and outsourced suppliers to improve user experience.
  20. Monitor, measure and report on digital marketing initiatives.
  21. Navigate and dive into Google Analytics, Facebook Insights and other digital analytics tools to extract and build on performance intelligence.
  22. Measure performance of digital marketing efforts using a variety of Web analytics tools (e.g., WebTrends).
  23. Design and create artwork for digital posts, labels and other company needs and requirements.
  24. Provide launch reports and regular interim as well as monthly reports.
  25. Manage own professional and self-development.

Qualifications, Skills and Work Experience:

  1. Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
  2. Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing / Journalism / Advertising
  3. 3 years' experience as a Digital Marketer (Essential)
  4. Experience with B2C social media, Google AdWords, email campaigns, and SEO / SEM / Growth hacking (Essential)
  5. Experience with Facebook Ad Manager (Essential)
  6. Experience using Content Management systems (Essential)
  7. Knowledge of Online Advertising Platforms (ideally Google qualified & holding industry related qualifications e.g. HubSpot, Hootsuite, Facebook Blueprint)
  8. Knowledge of web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, WebTrends)
  9. Working knowledge of ad serving tools (e.g., DART, DoubleClick)
  10. Knowledge of marketing & communication processes
  11. Knowledge of social media platforms
  12. Technical knowledge of reporting on multiple media platforms
  13. Interpersonal skills
