NexusAG, with its head office in Paarl, is a leading provider of agricultural crop solutions to optimize healthy crops and contribute to food security.

NexusAG currently has the above vacancy for a dynamic individual with a combination of well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, as well as an agricultural background. The individual must have excellent client-facing skills and the ability to identify client needs and associated solutions. In addition, the ideal candidate must be able to work independently, integrate well into a team, take leadership, and function well under pressure.

A National Senior Certificate together with an Agricultural Diploma, and minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar position are the minimum requirements for the role. The ability to drive a tractor is a further requirement. A Pest Management academic qualification in Bag, Bulk and Structural Fumigation, as well as registration as a pest control operator according to Act 36 of 1947, will be to the candidate's advantage.

The successful candidate will report to the Fumigation Specialist and responsibilities include, among others:

  1. Completion of the Pest Management academic course in Bag, Bulk and Structural Fumigation;
  2. Completion of registration as a pest control operator;
  3. Assist with soil fumigation projects on fruit farms;
  4. Ensure that the health and safety requirements of the company and the client's are met;
  5. Recordkeeping and completion of documents;
  6. Work with a team of general workers, supervise and manage the team to ensure successful and timely execution of tasks.
