LITHO Estimator

Our client based in the Cape Town area is currently seeking a LITHO Estimator to join their team. This LITHO Estimator will be required to assist the company's offset and web paper businesses. The ideal candidate should be professional, highly analytical, have experience working with estimating programs such as Quick Easy and possess excellent communication skills. The successful candidate should also have an in-depth knowledge of advanced mathematical and forecasting policies.

Responsibilities:

• Stock planning to ensure the company's operations are timely, efficient, and cost-effective
• Managing software, such as inventory analytics programs
• Estimating future product demand, analyzing inventory flow and developing forecast models
• Correct interpretation of customer quotes
• Create estimates for litho, digital and web formats
• Develop cost estimates for materials, labour and equipment
• Monitor stages of production to make sure that costs are kept in line with estimates
• Process job cards and complete closed loop costings
• Provide detailed accurate costings to customers, sales representatives and marketing departments
• Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns
• Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities
• Propose and implement solutions to improve stock forecast accuracy
• Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management
• Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies
• Conduct monthly forecast and stock maintenance
• Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner
