Qualification
  • BSc or MSc degree in Food Science, Food Technology or related field
Requirements
  • 3 Years' relevant work experience in a FMCG manufacturing / production environment
  • 3 Years' working experience in implementing and maintaining Quality and Food Safety Management Systems (knowledge on GFSI, ISO22000, HACCP, GMPs, and Prerequisite programs)
  • Working in a laboratory environment will be advantageous
  • Knowledge and working experience in new product development
  • Strong project management, leadership and training skills
  • Computer literate on MS Office
  • Drivers license with own vehicle
Duties
  • Maintaining, updating and improving GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative Intermediate Level) and HACCP (crucial for understanding ISO 22000:2018 and FSSC standards/regulations).
  • Schedule and lead food safety team meetings to implement, coordinate, review, enforce and improve safety protocols. Prepare and send out production samples for microbial verification tests. Review of reports / COAs for issues or non conformances
  • Quality control approvals and testing of final products to be released to customers
  • Ensure release of products and required documentation is reviewed and updated
  • Procurement of production-related inputs and ensuring the flow of raw materials and other resources
  • Lead and manage NPD projects from concept to launch
  • Product improvements and compliance of labelling to legislation (regulatory, statutory and customer requirements)
  • Research and development of new product design, formulation, development and costings.
  • Conduct factory trials on new products and formulations
  • Source new raw materials as required for product development (obtain all necessary information incl. food safety documentation, specs, pricing and MOQs).
