Toolmaker opportunity for an automotive manufacturing company in the Eastern Cape

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or N3
  • Toolmaker Trade Certificate
  • 3-Years post trade experience within a press tool manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated working experience on or stainless steel pressing, advantageous

KPA:

  • Plan, prepare and verify order documents with respect to completeness, functionality and feasibility based on experiences.
  • Document production material and or equipment; corrects and amends drawings if necessary
  • Inspect received parts and initiates rework or adjustments, if needed
  • Support the final approval and technical release of the production and test equipment
  • Conduct tests of production materials and or equipment
  • Setup devices under consideration of operational standards
  • Maintain equipment, dismantle deficient equipment and check according to nonconformity report
  • Conduct and document repairs.
  • Adjusts maintenance standards after consultation.
  • Plans and coordinates allocated repairs after commissioning by the supervisor
