Bookkeeper, Steenberg

Our Cape Town based client has been a leader in the manufacturing industry for nearly 50 years and is looking for an energetic Bookkeeper to assist their 2IC.  The successful candidate will be experienced with calculating salaries, wages, PAYE, UIF, etc., manage full bookkeeping using Pastel 50c, have an understanding of imports / exports while also assisting the 2IC with ad-hoc tasks so her day runs smoothly.  You would need to be able to focus in a fast-paced, open-plan manufacturing environment.

Urgent placement so we’re only able to look at candidates who are able to start immediately.

Requirements:

·        Experience with Sage 50c Pastel

·        Experienced with salaries / wages, e.g. capturing, record keeping, government returns

·        Working knowledge of imports / exports (advantage)

·        Full bookkeeping function, e.g. debtors / creditors / cashbook / recons

·        Stock control experience (advantage)

·        Manage COID paperwork

·        Team player

·        Able to cope with busy, noisy open plan environment

·        Experience in a manufacturing / production / FMCG environment

·        Able to work unsupervised

·        Live in Southern Suburbs of Cape Town

·        Mature, energetic and not a clock watcher

Working Hours:

·        Monday to Thursday: 09.00 - 16.00

·        Friday: 09.00 - 14.30

Salary:

·        R15,000 – R22,000

Responsibilities:

·        Assist with wages, payroll and Government returns

·        Ensure all import / export paper work and requirements are met timeously

·        Full bookkeeping function

·        Process stock take figures

·        Manage COID cases

·        Ad-hoc duties as assigned by 2IC
