Draughtsman / Architectural Technologist (Freelance)

Overview We are looking for an experienced Freelance Architectural Technologist to provide remote technical design and documentation support to an architectural practice. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working alongside qualified Architects, developing design concepts into detailed architectural drawings and coordinated construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities
Develop architectural concepts into detailed technical drawings. Prepare plans, elevations, sections and construction details. Produce and update 2D drawings and 3D architectural models. Assist with design development, technical detailing and drawing packages. Coordinate drawings with structural and building-services information. Prepare documentation for approvals, tender and construction as required. Incorporate design changes and maintain drawing accuracy. Work independently while communicating regularly with the Architects. Experience & Qualifications Relevant Architectural Technology qualification or equivalent demonstrated experience. Ideally 3–7 years of architectural design and technical documentation experience. Experience with commercial, healthcare, retail, hospitality or similar building projects advantageous. Strong understanding of building construction, materials and detailing. Ability to interpret architectural concepts and develop buildable technical solutions. Proficient in architectural CAD/BIM software, including Revit, ArchiCAD or AutoCAD, depending on client requirements. Portfolio demonstrating technical drawings and completed project work. Working Arrangement Fully remote. Freelance, project-based support. Must have reliable internet connectivity and access to suitable design software and equipment.
