Location Rustenburg Complex Job Description Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Ensure all relevant project and activity data are captured on the Valterra Platinum data management system(s) i.e. Smartsheet, Isometrix, etc. Plan and manage the application of the Valterra Platinum Social Impact Standard. Oversee the application of Social and Human Impact Risk (SHIRA) in identifying, assessing and managing social risks. Ensure the team, site management and staff understand the SED component of the Social Impact Standard. Lead and contribute to the development and defining of the site SMP in line with the Social Impact Standard and/or business strategy. Support the site in developing strategic Social Impact Standard priorities and associated KPIs. Implement the systems, management tools and business processes aligned to the business objectives and lead the achievement thereof. Ensure the alignment of the sustainability reporting in line with the requirements of the Social Impact Standard and Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy. Set‑up of required controls to ensure delivery against these standards and the objectives as defined in the project charter. Support the GM and the SPMC and the direct reports in developing strategic priorities and associated KPIs. Coordinate the compilation of Valterra Platinum reports to Platinum Business’ sites and Group. Active leadership in compiling reports and evidence in preparatory phase and during social performance related compliance audit (i.e. Social Impact Standard, IRMA, ABAS, etc.). Qualifications Tertiary qualification : Relevant Graduate degree, Post graduate degree desired. A valid EB/Code 08 driver’s license Experience Risk management techniques and critical controls In interfacing and influencing colleagues and Senior Management In facilitating multi‑stakeholder engagement sessions In planning and implementing SED projects In stakeholder engagement and ability to win the support and confidence of stakeholders and beneficiaries In compiling reports and presentation Identifying new methods to ensure productive and safe work and achieve plans. Identifying, analyse and maintain relationships (internal and external) Conduct baseline studies and socio‑economic impact assessments Overseeing the implementation and management of the grievance mechanism Overseeing the application social risks management (SHIRA) Facilitating and the implementation of local employment, enterprise and supplier (ESD) development strategy Additional Information Who We Are We are a Southern African PGM producer, marketing metals globally, with a presence across 8 regions and 17 sites.
