Medical Sales Rep

Leading medical supplier requires an experienced Medical Sales Rep for their Urology division to cover the Pretoria and Limpopo region. Qualifications Grade 12 (Matric) is a minimum requirement Relevant degree or diploma Valid driver’s license and own transport Must live within Pretoria / Centurion / Midrand areas Must have existing relationships within the Pretoria area / hospitals Previous medical sales experience within urology or vascular Knowledge of target group of customers such as Stock Controllers, Pharmacy Managers and relevant Support Staff – an advantage Clinical and product knowledge – a definite advantage Existing relationships with customer base – a definite advantage Computer literacy and proficiency on MS Office, specifically Excel (level 2 at least) and MS Word – requirement Responsibilities Duties Responsible for the sales of the Urology and Critical Care products, including maintaining and growing existing business and expanding sales within the Pretoria territory Scheduling and attending appointments with existing and potential customers; demonstration of products to clinical personnel Completion of weekly planner and activity report for submission to direct manager Achieving sales targets Networking, developing relationships with new customers and managing existing customers Counting and management of consignment stock, requesting and following up on quotations General administration; all activities recorded on Force Manager CRM Marketing Assist the National Product Manager with journal clubs, workshops / VISTA meetings and various conferences as needed Assist sales managers with sales budgeting per territory for the SBU Effective implementation of tactical and strategic plan Effective marketing activities including congresses, customer workshops and educational events Daily calls to customers and new prospects Sales knowledge to allow for effective selling of product features and benefits Evaluation, analyses and report on competitors’ products, drive strategies and appropriate business responses Customer Relations Establish network with stakeholders in hospitals – physicians and KOLs Build and maintain strong relations with all stakeholders, including customers, payors, government and employees Attend appointments with customers and prospects, gather customer requirements in cooperation with sales managers Assist with successful congresses and training workshops; identify correct customers to attend product training to ensure ROI Maintain good relations and communication with internal customers – Customer Services, Finance, Logistics, Management Utilise customer profiling and mapping tools to grow product families according to customer need Sales Reports and Administration Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales budgets per SBU Attend daily Ariba / Trade world, tender input and quote requests Expense claims handed in on time as per schedule from Finance with correct cost allocations Monthly reports to sales manager before 5th of month; weekly call reports and planners recorded on Force Manager and sent to manager Compliance to regulatory SOPs, SA regulations and code of business ethics Training Maintain a high level of motivation; preparing and conducting presentations at sales and management meetings Assist sales managers with product queries and technical / clinical application information Identify and implement educational events for customers to achieve growth Implement workshop activities with sales team and customers Train new customers on product range as set out by manager Identify workshops and educational events with ROI and product growth Participate in company business and sales meetings; provide input to management Assist in planning congresses identified Administrative Duties Maintain reports; adhere to credit policies and procedures of the group Maintain all administrative responsibilities; monthly reporting on marketing activities Ensure all product and marketing activities comply with legal and ethical standards Managing all company expenses within the marketing budget provided Adhere to legal/medical requirements; inform management of changes Submit monthly report to senior management and record all activities on Force Manager CRM Stock Management Assist with stock rotation and slow‑moving identification and returns Assist sales managers with field input on stock ordering and feedback on stock requirements Manage consignment stock allocated to customers on request from sales managers Manage boot stock allocated to yourself and rotate stock to reduce expiration Evaluate effectiveness of procedural kits if implemented Give effective feedback to management on consignment stock #J-18808-Ljbffr
