Location: Centurion, Gauteng Position Purpose: To ensure the accurate processing of medicine claims according to client specifications. Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience with capturing medicines in a DUR/PHB environment with 2-3 years previous working experience within a Managed Care environment (Essential). Qualifications: Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant. Registration with SAPC. Key Responsibilities Provide Quality services to members and providers All medicine queries completed timeously Ensure all applications and requests are captured timeously Accurate capturing of new prescription, acute and chronic medication or private claim Correct handling of rejection within SOP and Formulary items and authorisations Support management with tasks and initiatives beneficial to the sections and Schemes Assist with tracking Claims – submission codes, pricing and reference pricing Scheme option and benefit design, scheme and funding rules Outbound calling projects To assist principal Pharmacist with clinical application and prescription reviewing Chronic and Prescribed Minimum Benefit Authorisations Provide Quality services to members Ensure all applications and requests are captured Support management and other managers in tasks and initiatives beneficial to the sections Skills & Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Analytical, systematic and detail orientated Have a professional and positive attitude Interpersonal and customer-orientated service skills Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary project team Ability to handle pressure and difficult situations Ability to work under set deadlines – time management is critical Be responsible and able to maintain confidentiality Be able to make decisions Good analytical and problem-solving abilities Good communication and interpersonal skills Good organisational and administrative skills Ability to meet tight deadlines Knowledge Sound knowledge of the Medical Schemes Good knowledge of various legislation concerning medical schemes, health insurance, PMBs, and other healthcare Sound knowledge of the pharmacy/pharmaceutical industry Note: Company reserves the right to close the advert before specified closing date.
