Senior SQL DBA One of our clients is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior SQL DBA to join their dynamic team within the financial services industry. As a Senior SQL DBA, you will play a crucial role in managing our database systems, ensuring their reliability, performance, and security. Your expertise in MsSQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and DBMS will be instrumental in maintaining and optimizing our data infrastructure. Responsibilities: Manage and maintain our SQL database systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Monitor database performance and proactively identify and resolve any issues. Design and implement effective backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and translate business requirements into database solutions. Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support application development and reporting needs. Perform database tuning, index optimization, and query optimization to enhance system performance. Implement and manage database security measures to protect sensitive data. Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to SQL databases and provide recommendations for process improvements. Requirements: National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Proven experience as a SQL Database Administrator, specifically with MsSQL, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and DBMS. Strong understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and optimization techniques. Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions. Experience with database backup and recovery strategies. Familiarity with database security and access controls. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Prior experience within the financial services industry is a plus.
