JOB TYPE: Full-Time (In Office) LOCATION: South Africa, Somerset West REPORT TO: Head of Quality KEY PURPOSE OF JOB The Quality Technician’s role is to provide support to the quality assurance team regarding the implementation and maintenance of quality standards. This person will also be responsible to ensure that internal manufacturing processes are adhered to. KEY TASKS Review and approve documents Review Build History Documents Validate test results and approve Test Reports Perform investigations regarding improvements in the production/testing of NSS products Assist with the training and assessment of production personnel against prescribed work standards Report and communication of non-conforming products, processes and materials Maintaining compliance with the regulations and stipulations of ISO 9001 Ensure that all quality targets, throughout the manufacturing process are in accordance with the customer requirements Identify root cause and implement corrective actions (RCCA) Assist with the commissioning of test equipment and test jigs Assist with supplier development Assist with Internal and supplier audits Witnessing of tests – Verify product testing process against required standards Perform QA clearance QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Qualification: Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Quality, Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics OR ISO 9001/AS 9100 Quality Management (preferable) Experience & Knowledge: >1 year of Quality Assurance working experience (preferably aerospace or defence) MS Office experience QMS maintenance QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Additional knowledge areas that would strengthen the application: Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy Positive, self-motivated, and proactive attitude Reliable and accountable Collaborative team player Strong written and verbal communication skills Customer-focused approach Flexible and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment Resourceful with the ability to set and manage priorities effectively Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of PDM (Solidworks) Knowledge of Syspro or ERP system Six Sigma – 6S #J-18808-Ljbffr
