Engineering Assistant UG – Valterra Platinum Join to apply for the Engineering Assistant UG role at Valterra Platinum. We are focused on strengthening our capabilities across the entire PGM value chain, from mine to market, while embedding safety and sustainability in everything we do. Position: Fixed Term, based in Mokopane, Limpopo.Band 9 level reporting to the Engineering Foreman. Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Good housekeeping Material & workshop machinery & equipment control Use of engineering tools Loading, dispatching material & equipment to work sites Provides assistance to all trades (artisans) with activities within and without the team Ensure tool availability Follow work instructions Ensure proper understanding of the required actions Apply recognised work and safety standards Ensure that members work together as a team while completing tasks Ensure that tasks are completed to required quality standards Ensure that material is not unnecessarily wasted Ensure that all required tools, material and spares are available to perform tasks Communicate to artisans any unexpected problems Effective two‑way communication with team members Help operational employees to maintain equipment in area of responsibility Accompany artisan when inspecting and completing tasks Promote safety awareness by reminding team members to follow work procedures and identifying unsafe work practices Report any safety related issues to the artisan or full‑time safety representative Qualifications Grade 12 with Maths and Science Experience, Technical Knowledge, Skills No experience required Communication in English Preference will be given to candidates with prior 18.2 learnership experience What We Offer Meaningful work in a high‑performance, values‑led environment Market‑aligned reward and recognition Opportunities for learning, development and progression A culture that respects diversity and encourages innovation A clear commitment to safe operations Inclusion and Diversity Valterra Platinum is an equal opportunities employer.
