Our client is seeking a passionate Senior Product Designer to lead the advancement of HV and Python liners, driving innovation and delivering superior customer and manufacturing outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial design , Mechanical Engineering , or Industrial Engineering .
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
    • Excellent Interpersonal Skills
      • Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
      • A passion for hands-on work, creating and refining physical solutions.
      • Willingness to work long hours in a production environment and get hands dirty.
      • Proven ability to manage requirements, question assumptions, and collaborate effectively.
      • Practical problem-solving approach, rooted in physics and engineering principles.

Technical Skills:

  • Microsoft 365 Proficiency : Efficient user of tools like OneDrive and advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, LOOKUP, and INDEX).
  • Technical Drawings : Able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications with limited guidance.
  • Mechanical and Pneumatic Principles : Basic understanding of mechanical and pneumatic systems, including fault-finding and component replacement. Requires assistance with new designs and assemblies.
  • Prototyping : Skilled in using in-house facilities to manufacture high-quality prototypes.
  • Test Facility Usage : Properly deploy test facilities under instruction and develop test plans independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and optimizes Python liner advancements while eliminating HV pockets.
  • Spends significant time on the production floor, understanding pain points, and devising practical solutions.
  • Defines requirements, leads design efforts, and fosters cross-disciplinary teamwork to achieve objectives.
  • Applies a "build fast, test fast, fix fast" approach to meet deadlines and adapt to challenges.
  • Analyzes cost drivers and customer complaints to guide effective, iterative design improvements.
  • Builds and tests prototypes using in-house facilities, develop test plans independently, and utilize all test equipment proficiently.
  • Leverages sound engineering principles and hands-on experimentation to refine processes and products.
  • Demonstrates strong technical knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes to create optimal solutions.
  • Partners with the Supply Chain team to procure products and develop suppliers.
  • Facilitates high-quality idea-generation sessions to drive innovation.
  • Effectively manages projects within the NPD project management framework and adhere to budgets.
  • Conducts best-practice evaluations, maintain thorough records, and guide others in these practices.
