About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to join their manufacturing facility in Queenstown . This role is critical in ensuring that all products meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements within the FMCG sector . You will conduct regular quality checks, perform laboratory tests, and document findings to maintain the highest levels of product integrity and safety. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about quality control in a fast-paced production environment, contributing to the reputation of trusted FMCG brands in the Eastern Cape .
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine quality checks and inspections on raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products according to established protocols.
- Conduct laboratory tests and analyses to verify product specifications, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Document all quality control activities, test results, and deviations accurately in the relevant systems.
- Identify and report any quality defects or non-conformities to the Quality Manager and assist in root cause analysis.
- Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant quality management systems.
- Assist in maintaining calibration records for laboratory equipment and production quality tools.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Quality Assurance Technician or in a similar quality control role, preferably in the FMCG or food manufacturing industry .
- Strong understanding of quality control principles, testing procedures, and data recording.
- Familiarity with GMP and HACCP principles is advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.
- A relevant technical qualification or certification in Quality Assurance or Food Science is a plus.
