Job Description THE OPPORTUNITY THAT AWAITS YOU Are you a seasoned network engineer with a passion for performance, automation, and scalability? Responsibilities Drive the design and deployment of metric-driven network improvements, ensuring solutions are thoroughly tested, validated, and aligned with performance targets. Take ownership of root cause analysis for under performing network segments, implement capacity planning strategies, and recommend configuration enhancements. Collaborate with vendors (MikroTik, Juniper, Cambium, BDCOM, Ubiquiti) and internal specialist teams to resolve advanced technical issues and support escalated cases. Lead analysis of degraded network performance metrics and oversee the implementation of configuration adjustments or infrastructure upgrades as needed. Apply and validate changes to network configurations—including routing protocols, Quality of Service (QoS), VLAN segmentation, and firewall rules—ensuring alignment with architectural standards. Plan, implement, and maintain OSPF deployments, as well as contribute to IP addressing strategies and firewall rule optimization. Develop or oversee the creation of automation scripts and tool integrations to improve operational efficiency and consistency. Mentor and guide Tier 3 engineers on advanced troubleshooting practices and structured root cause methodologies. Design logical network topologies, produce technical diagrams, and maintain accurate documentation of network infrastructure. Qualifications Matric / Grade 12 or Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Networks, or a related field. Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIS, or JNCIP.
