Overview Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Enrolled Nursing Assistants (ENAs) – Contract Positions (Home Visits and Virtual Consultations) Location: Johannesburg and Pretoria Employment Type: Contract Industry: Healthcare / Home-Based Care About the Role We are seeking qualified and compassionate Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Enrolled Nursing Assistants (ENAs) to join our healthcare team on a contract basis. The positions involve home visits to provide patient-centered nursing care within a community or home-based setting. Key Responsibilities Conduct home visits and virtual consultations and provide quality nursing care in accordance with patient care plans. Monitor and record vital signs and patient progress. Administer medication and assist with wound care and basic nursing procedures. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation. Support patients and families with education and care guidance. Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Minimum Requirements Enrolled Nurse (EN) or Enrolled Nursing Assistant (ENA) qualification. Valid SANC registration (South African Nursing Council) – compulsory. At least 1 year of post-training experience in a clinical or home-based environment. Knowledge of basic nursing procedures, medication administration, and infection control. Must be compassionate, reliable, and professional. Valid driver's licence and own reliable transport – advantageous. Skills & Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Empathy and patient-centered approach. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Good record-keeping and administrative accuracy. Professional presentation and commitment to ethical nursing practice. Contract Details Type: Fixed-term contract (home visits). Working Hours: Flexible schedules depending on patient needs. Remuneration: Market-related, based on experience and qualifications.
