Qualifications and Skills required:
  • Relevant qualification in finance, accounting, or a related field (e.g., BCom, Accounting diploma, etc.).
  • 3 - 5 years experience in a similar position, preferably in the education sector.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the financial administration of the school, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and organisational financial policies and regulations.
  • Administer payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable processes.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability.
  • Coordinate and oversee procurement processes, ensuring value for money and adherence to budgets.
  • Collaborate with the school leadership team to develop financial strategies that support the institutions educational goals.
  • Manage and maintain financial records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Support the Head of School and Board of Governors with financial insights and recommendations.
