Requirements Minimum Qualifications : BCom Taxation / BCom Taxation / BCom Taxation Honours Experience : Minimum 3 years post-articles experience in taxation or a similar role Key Duties and Responsibilities In-depth understanding of Tax Administration Act, Income Tax Act, Employees Tax Act and Customs and Excise Act Oversee accurate and timely submission of PAE, Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and VAT returns Proficient use of the SARS E-Filing System Manage and submit Section Applications (Compromise), Deferral Payment Applications, Diesel Refunds, and Customs and Excise Disputes Prepare and file Objections, Appeals, and Submissions to the SARSTax Board and Tax Court Conduct Tax Planning for clients Represent clients in meetings with SARS officials Lead and manage a team within the Accounting Business Unit Perform staff performance assessments in line with company policy Collaborate with HR for leave management Prepare and monitor operational plans for the taxation staff Maintain effective stakeholder relations with Clients, Financial Institutions and Government Departments Provide regular operational and assignment status reports to management Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
