Job DescriptionLocation : Healix Group, Ground Floor, Brookside Office Park, 11 Imam Haron RdWe have a vacancy to join Healix International in our Cape Town office as a Management Accountant. This role will be focused on the Healix International Group of Companies who provide medical and security assistance for those travelling abroad. We now have a vacancy for a Management Accountant who will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts to deadline.We are looking for a personable and friendly individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with : 2+ years management accounts or general accounting experiencePrevious management experienceGood bookkeeping skills and a high level of accuracyThe ability to work efficiently and to strict deadlinesExposure to working with foreign currenciesWorking knowledge of the Microsoft SuiteAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft excel (pivot tables, V lookups)Access Dimensions experienceExperience of working within the international medical insurance, assistance sector would be an advantage.All newly appointed team members go through a comprehensive induction training programme to ensure they are fully training and able to provide the level of service.As we are expecting a high level of interest in this role, the advert may be closed before the dates shown.About The RoleKey activities / main duties include but are not limited to : Posting all necessary month end adjustments and oversee other aspects of the month end process – e.g. bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations etc.Preparing monthly management accounts using our project, business unit & department structure.Reconciliation of spending with budget as part of job costingOverseeing payment runs where we are entitled to prompt payment discounts to ensure that we meet the requirementsResolving queries with our customers and medical providersPosting and reconciling the monthly payrollpleting GST returns for various entitiesCarrying out continuous reviews of working accounting practices and processes to ensure efficient and cost effective operationsLiaising with external accountants and tax advisors as required to support compliance and reporting.Raising sales invoices and process relevant associated journals to recognise income.Assisting with posting and reconciling of multiple bank accounts.Adhering to and enforce accounting process disciplines and manage responsibilities to strict deadlines.Preparing and assisting with reports required by the business.Maintaining an accurate and efficient filing system.Working closely with other finance and non-finance members.Fulfilling ad-hoc duties as they arise from line manager or other member of senior finance management team.Skills NeededRequired CriteriaA minimum of 2 years management accounts or general accounting experienceAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft excel (pivot tables, V lookups)Desired CriteriaPrevious management experienceAccess Dimensions experienceExperience of working within the international medical insurance, assistance sectorClosing DateTuesday 30th September, Contract TypefulltimeSalaryBased on Experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
