Senior Site Manager – Marine ConstructionGuerrini Marine Construction (GMC) is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Site Manager to lead the daily execution of marine and civil construction projects across the Western Cape. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage day-to-day site operations on marine or civil construction projects Supervise foremen, labour teams, divers, subcontractors, operators, and suppliers Plan and execute construction sequences to meet daily and weekly production targets Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and to GMC's quality standards Conduct toolbox talks, safety checks, and workforce briefings Manage on-site logistics including plant, materials, equipment, and deliveries Identify risks, issues, or delays early and implement corrective actions Read and interpret technical drawings accurately Maintain strict site discipline and professional communication Report progress, challenges, and requirements to management daily Work closely with the Technical Director, who provides high-level support and oversight Requirements 8-10+ years' experience in marine construction, heavy civil works, or structural projects Strong leadership and site management ability Proven experience running construction sites independently Excellent understanding of construction sequencing and workflow planning Ability to solve problems on-site and make fast, informed decisions Comfortable working around water, tides, slipways, cofferdams, formwork, or marine equipment Ability to read and interpret civil / structural drawings High organisational discipline with strong attention to detail Valid driver's licence (required) What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience (R45, – R65,+, negotiable for the right candidate) Career growth opportunities into Construction Manager or Contracts Manager roles Direct mentorship from our Technical Director (30+ years marine construction experience) Opportunity to work on some of South Africa's most specialised marine projects A fast-paced, supportive, and professional team environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
