About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic Treasury Manager to join their finance department in Paarl . This critical role involves managing the company's liquidity, cash flow, debt, and investments to ensure financial stability and optimize returns. You will be responsible for developing and implementing treasury strategies, managing banking relationships, and mitigating financial risks. This position offers a significant opportunity to influence the financial health of the organization in the beautiful region of Paarl .
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily cash operations, including cash forecasting, monitoring, and optimizing cash balances.
- Oversee debt facilities, ensuring compliance with covenants and managing interest rate risk.
- Develop and implement investment strategies for surplus cash to maximize yield while preserving capital.
- Manage banking relationships, negotiating terms and optimizing services.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, including currency and interest rate exposures.
- Prepare treasury reports and presentations for senior management on cash flow, liquidity, and risk positions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate treasury or a related financial role.
- Strong understanding of cash management, debt management, and investment principles.
- Proficiency in treasury management systems (TMS) and financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills .
- Knowledge of South African financial markets and regulatory environment.
