Staff / Lead Software Engineer — AI-Assisted Development & Agent Harnesses
Flexzo builds healthcare workforce software covering recruitment, scheduling and workforce operations.
We’re looking for a hands‑on engineering leader who has shipped production software using AI coding agents and can help our team deliver reliable features faster.
You will own features from requirements through release and improve the engineering environment around them: repository context, automated testing, browser verification, CI/CD and feedback loops that enable agents to implement, test and repair changes.
What we’re looking for
- Strong software engineering, architecture and debugging skills.
- Practical experience delivering production changes with tools such as Claude Code, Codex or equivalent.
- Experience designing agent workflows with clear acceptance criteria, checkpoints and stopping conditions.
- Strong automated testing across application logic, APIs and important user journeys.
- Sound judgment around permissions, customer data separation, database changes and releases.
- Ability to coach engineers and demonstrate improvements in delivery time and product quality.

Our interview includes a paid practical exercise using AI tools on a representative codebase, followed by a discussion of your implementation, verification and trade-offs.
